Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rose hears the sounds of battle and runs towards them. "No, Ayn, I won't fight. Yeah, I bet you won't, gargoyle." She races down the steps of the dungeon and comes to a skidding halt by them. "Cut it out! The both of you are behaving like children!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Bern recalls the attacks and looks at Rose. His gold eyes glaring at her. "Are you over your fit yet Rose?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rose blushes and glares back at him. "That doesn't matter. I thought you promised not to fight, gargoyle. Apparantly, your promises are worth nothing. Why are you fighting Reeve anyway?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I only break my promises if it is a good reason or if it has something to do with honor!" Bern walks closer to Rose."And i guess it really doesn't matter if im bleeding or...Reeve. Your concern is if were fighting when were not suppose to be."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rose's face pales. "You can't say that! You don't know whether or not I care! Yes, I'm trying to stop the fight. What good is it going to do knowing whether or not you two are hurt when you're still fighting?! Yeah, when I got down here I did care if you two were hurt, but now I don't know why!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Well maybe you should start caring again... because i was fighting for your honor!" Bern storms out of the dungeon and punches a hole through the wall near the doorway on the way out. The stone crumbles and plummets to the ground and a nice sized hole appears out of the stony dust.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"For..me?" Feeling like an ass, she watches him leave. When he exits, her eyes slowly drift to Reeve. "He was fighting for me? Why did you let him? This is all your fault, Reeve!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Walking fastly Bern storms down the halls banging his claws against the walls leaving some indentations. He stops and looks up noticing a beam hiding in the shadows. He leaps up to it and folds his wings around him to relax in the shadows.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Reeve examines his fingernails and then glances up at her in a delayed look. "Oh that. I didn't let 'em. The monstrosity got parental so I kicked his ass. Whats the problem, Rose?" Clearly, there is a change in Reeve's attitude. Less hostile but still a smart ass.
((:P)) |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Well, you had no right to pick a fight with him." She's obviously confused at his change in attitude. "And I have a problem with how you've been treating me."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
He tightens his glove absent mindedly. "Oh? Well whats that problem? You should be happy I didn't get mad when you came to stay with me. Though I do admit, it was very lonley untill you came about." He walks over to an old barrell and sits on it after doning his white leather trench coat once more.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She grins. "So you do want me there! Why were you so nasty before?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Vorena scowls, but nods. "I did what I felt was best for myself at the time, and I expected the both of you to understand and respect my decision. It doesn't seem any of us got what we really wanted, does it?" He crosses his arms and stares at the ground in a huff.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Avalon looks away, scratching his neck. He began to feel a little bit guilty. After a few seconds of staring at the wall ahead of him, he spoke slowly in a low voice. "Well, that's why we're here now, isn't it? To set things straight? I won't let my pride get in the way, and I'll admit that I feel bad and am truly sorry." He looks to Onarav, expecting him to say something similar.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Reeve shrugs and lays his hands on the hilts of his blades. "I 'unno. I don't remember." He starts to walk up the steps into the hallway, half-way not paying any attention to himself at all.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Sheesh, you're an odd one, Reeve." She follows him, looking around the castle as she does. Narrowing her eyes, she spots Bern curled up in the shadows of the beam. "Hey, Reeve, I'll catch up with you in a little bit."
"Bern? Come down...I need to talk to you." |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
In the shadows Bern awakens and spreads his wings a bit to see whos below. He then jumps down to "talk" as Rose said. "What do you want?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"To apologize. I...uh...was a little rough on you back there. I didn't realize that you actually cared about me enough to do that...and I thought you were just fighting Reeve for his sword or whatever. Anyway, I'm sorry that I bashed on you like that."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I accept your apology Rose. It's just that honor means a lot to me and what Reeve did was inacceptable." Bern leans up against the wall.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Aw, he's just having a rough time of it, I guess. Thanks for sticking up for me, though. Nobody's ever done that before." Rose watches him. "But don't think this'll make it any easier for you. You're still not going to get Fate."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I suspected you'd say that! don't worry i'll get it!" Bern gives a half smile and stands once again. "So what now Rose?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Reeve makes his way to the kitchen and helps himself to a ratehr large loaf of bread. He then begins to build a water fountain out of a tea kettle, cups, and the sink water.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Onarav lets out a "Hmph." at Vorena's case, but doesn't seem to disregard it. "Perhaps I was hasty with my dismisal of your decision, as my own daughter did the same before the war. While I cannot approve of your..martial decisions. I have no quarrel with your family, despite them not being purebreeds. Judging your decision to leave the way I did is all I apologize for, however."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Good. Now hug. Make up, and hug. Embrace each other like true brothers." Avalon knew he was asking for a lot but it was important they all be united when they go up against Rand.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Vorena arches an eyebrow. "I forgive him for apologizing for what he's done, and I apologize for my actions as well. Isn't that enough?" Obviously Vorena isn't too keen on the idea of hugging.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Avalon scratches his head. "Isn't that enough? We hugged earlier today. What's the difference? Do I need to remind you of the emotional state your daughter is in, Vorena? She's like that because of the fight she went through. The SAME fight you and Onarav are going through right now. We're not leaving here until this is settled." Avalon crosses his arms.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Onarav raises an eyebrow. "I do not believe me and Vorena are ready for that, brother. More healing must take place. As of now we are united in our cause to defend our remaining children, and to destroy this Rand character. Is that not enough?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I...don't know. I guess you're welcome to hang around the castle. It's a pretty nice place once you get used to it. I have to, uhm, patch things up with Reeve some." She shrugs and grins. "You just keep dreaming about Fate. That's the closest you'll ever get."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Don't be so confident Rose... it shall be your downfall!" He smiles slyishly.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rose laughs and turns to start heading back to the library. When she gets there, she smiles at Reeve and disappears down an aisle of books, looking for a particular one.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Well nothing better to do. I better go see how Dominic is." Bern heads to a window and jumps out of it spreading his bat-like wings and gliding into the darkness.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Avalon shakes his head, obviously getting agitated. "No, it is not enough. You two will argue later. When fighting Rand, there will be a disagreement and no good will that do us. We need to get this all out of the way now."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Alinos scans the library with a lack of intrest. Ayn was safe for the moment, leaving him with little to do. He scans the room and notices Loren, raising an eyebrow. "Might I ask who you are?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Loren arches an eyebrow at Alinos, then smiles. "It's not important who I am, but rather, what I'm here for, correct?" She stands and stretches. "I'd like to find out more about this place. I already have an idea of what happened to the owner, but what I don't understand is why there are so many people here."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Most of them are here to protect Ayn, and what's your buisness here?" Alinos folds his wings and shuts his eyes.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"As I stated before, I'm just here to get some answers. For instance, why are there so many people protecting Ayn?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Because if she dies, so does everyone else. Good reason, no?"
__ Onarav sighs and stands. "Jesus, let's just get this over with and move on." |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I see. One more question if you don't mind, how is one person able to kill us all through her death?"
_____ Vorena sighs. "Fine." |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
On the very outskirts of the Castle's grounds lurks a creature. It blends in comfortably with the shadows of the night, not fearing anything else in the forest around it, for she was the one feared. She was the one who's fangs gleamed in the moonlight, sending shivers down the spines of those who walked without them. Hers were the claws that ripped and tore through other, lesser night hunter's. She was the one who moved as a silent shadow, stalking and watching with eyes that captured the moon and held it prison. Yet, for all of her well-fitted comfort, the creature did not belong here. "I don't belong anywhere." Shaking her furred head, Nightbringer surveys the castle with infinite patience. Her silver eyes hold the castle prisoner in their depths, a tiny image locked away in her mind's great depths.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Behind the winged beast another figure appears on the hill. A human from the looks of it, with blonde hair. A giant silver spiked ball hanging over his shoulder. He leans down on one knee and stares at the castle. "He we go Night! There it is, Gale's Castle. Finally we can find out why everyones talking about this place." The canadian stands and walks down the hill towards the castle, the wind picks up and blows the weapon side to side and kicking up some dust and brushing against the figures face.
